Doypack Pouch Packaging Machine

The word “Doypack” is actually a trademarked term used by the French packaging company, Thimonnier. It is derived from a combination of the words “doy” and “packaging”. “Doy” refers to the French word “dossier”, which means “file folder”. The shape of the Doypack pouch, with its flattened base and curved body, resembles a file folder.

Doypack pouches are stand-up pouches with a flat bottom and resealable zipper or spout design, usually made of food-grade plastic films, used for packaging food, beverages, powders, parts and other products.

Doypack pouches are sealed on all four sides, while three-side seal pouches have one open side for product filling. Doypack pouches have a larger printing area but more complex sealing equipment. Three-side seal pouches have a smaller printing area but simpler sealing equipment. 

In the production process of Doypack pouches, we can print brand LOGO, product instructions, shelf life and other information on the pouches based on the graphic files provided by the customer. Common printing methods include lithography, flexography, and hot stamping. We will choose the most suitable printing method according to customer needs. 

The main equipment for producing Doypack pouches includes forming machines, four-side sealers, and printing presses. Depending on the production scale, we will invest in different automated production lines to improve efficiency and quality. Factors to consider when choosing high-quality Doypack pouches include: material (food grade), thickness, size accuracy, zipper/spout quality, four-side seal quality, whether the bottom is flat, barrier properties, etc.  In addition, choosing a qualified and experienced Doypack pouch manufacturer is also very important.
